Ankhs are a symbol that represent life, immortality and rebirth.  It is the key of life, the breath of life, eternal life.  The hoop represents the eternal soul and the straight line represents the earthly plane and/or physical existence.  Together they signify the eternal cycle of life, death and rebirth
